GENERAL ABILITY (Common to all categories)

General Studies: The paper in General Studies will include knowledge of current events and of such matters as of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The paper will also include questions on History of India and Geography of nature which candidates should be able to answer without special study.

UPSC Engineering Services Exam Pattern

Exam pattern is a way for getting the idea about the exam topics and exam subjects and exam timing also. The written exam is divided into 2 sections. Section I consists of only objective type questions and section II comprises conventional papers. Both the papers cover entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines. If you qualify the written examination, personality test of 200 marks is conducted. So applicants get the idea through the exam pattern and start preparation for the examination.
